Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rue De La Gaite by Antoine Malliarakis Mayo was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in October 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,078.07) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antoine Malliarakis Mayo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Egyptian ismailia, Le Marché Arabe (Ismailia, The Arab Market) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 84,047.74).
