Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection Particulière Italienne : De Giovanni Fattori à Giorgio de Chirico, which included the work The Ferryman, San Mauro by Antonio Fontanesi. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Fontanesi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Capanna: A woodland hut in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 75,700.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection Particulière Italienne : De Giovanni Fattori à Giorgio de Chirico durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Ferryman, San Mauro von Antonio Fontanesi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Fontanesi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Capanna: A woodland hut im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 75.700,89).
