Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Insider Ix/Weeds II - 1998 by Antony Gormley was auctioned at Artcurial in Monte-Carlo in July last year. It achieved a price of EUR 300,740.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Gormley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Case for an Angel I in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,296,250.00 (€ 6,038,761.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Insider Ix/Weeds II - 1998 von Antony Gormley kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Monte-Carlo zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 300.740,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Gormley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Case for an Angel I im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.296.250,00 (€ 6.038.761,70).
