A top price for Antony Gormley - as previously expected
The work A Case for an Angel I by Antony Gormley was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000,000.00 – 7,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,296,250.00 (€ 6,038,761.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Case for an Angel I is the most expensive artwork by Antony Gormley that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit A Case for an Angel I von Antony Gormley kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
