Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Polder landscape with flowers in bloom by Aris Knikker was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,195.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aris Knikker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A View Of A Village At Dusk, which sold at auction in March 2007 for EUR 3,360.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Polder landscape with flowers in bloom von Aris Knikker im Juli 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.195,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Aris Knikker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A View Of A Village At Dusk beobachtet, die im März 2007 für EUR 3.360,00 versteigert wurde.
