In June 2008 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work An ash tree in autumn by Arkady Plastov. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,640.34) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arkady Plastov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Stepan Nazarov in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,500.00 (€ 51,109.44).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An ash tree in autumn von Arkady Plastov zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.640,34) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arkady Plastov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Stepan Nazarov im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.500,00 (€ 51.109,44).
