The work By the Black Sea by Arkady Plastov was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2008. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,960.50) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arkady Plastov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Stepan Nazarov, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 36,500.00 (€ 51,109.44).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit By the Black Sea von Arkady Plastov kam im Juni 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.960,50) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arkady Plastov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Stepan Nazarov beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 36.500,00 (€ 51.109,44) versteigert wurde.
