Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sfera by Arnaldo Pomodoro was sold in the 20th/21st Century: Paris Evening Sale auction at Christies in Paris in June last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 220,000.00 – 320,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 239,400.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arnaldo Pomodoro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Giroscopio IV, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 674,500.00 (€ 943,457.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sfera von Arnaldo Pomodoro wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Paris Evening Sale bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 220.000,00 – 320.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 239.400,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Arnaldo Pomodoro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Giroscopio IV beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 674.500,00 (€ 943.457,03) versteigert wurde.
