This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Arpita Singh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman Plucking Flowers in March last year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 738,303.43).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arpita Singh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman Plucking Flowers im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 738.303,43).
