Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur Douglas Peppercorn could be acquired at Christies in London in April 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work A River In A Wooded Landscape changed hands for GBP 167.30 (€ 150.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Douglas Peppercorn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cattle Grazing In The Fields in January 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,010.81).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Douglas Peppercorn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cattle Grazing In The Fields im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 2.010,81).
