Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Cape Breton Shore by Arthur Lismer. Here, the upper estimate of CAD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CAD 19,200.00 (€ 13,785.64). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Lismer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bon Echo Rock in June 2010 with an auction result of CAD 778,750.00 (€ 597,352.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cape Breton Shore von Arthur Lismer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CAD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CAD 19.200,00 (€ 13.785,64) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Lismer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bon Echo Rock im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 778.750,00 (€ 597.352,13).
