Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur Okamura could be acquired at Bonhams in Hong Kong in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Discovery on Sunset auction, the work Untitled (Tree) changed hands for USD 140.25 (€ 131.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Okamura achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When the Moon is Black in February this year with an auction result of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,367.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Okamura konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Discovery on Sunset wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Tree) für USD 140,25 (€ 131,64) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Okamura erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit When the Moon is Black im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.367,29).
