In November 2004 Christies in Milan held the auction ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA, which included the work Paesaggio by Arturo Tosi. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 14,260.00 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arturo Tosi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paese di San Lorenzo, which sold at auction in November 2000 for ITL 42,300,000.00 (€ 38,923.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im November 2004 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paesaggio von Arturo Tosi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 14.260,00 und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Arturo Tosi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paese di San Lorenzo beobachtet, die im November 2000 für ITL 42.300.000,00 (€ 38.923,40) versteigert wurde.
