Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mary Magdalen washing the feet of Christ by Artus Wolffort was sold in the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction at Christies in London in July 2002. The price achieved of GBP 9,987.50 (€ 15,930.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Artus Wolffort achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint Andrew in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 192,802.06).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.987,50 (€ 15.930,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Artus Wolffort erzielen.
