Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work A Sailboat on Rough Seas by a Windmill by Ary Pleijsier for USD 4,780.00 (€ 4,155.80). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ary Pleijsier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ships in a Calm Bay, which sold at auction in October 2011 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,962.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Sailboat on Rough Seas by a Windmill von Ary Pleijsier für USD 4.780,00 (€ 4.155,80) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ary Pleijsier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ships in a Calm Bay beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.962,50) versteigert wurde.
