Despite a disappointment, a good price for Augustus Knip
This work of art by Augustus Knip could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Dog Sale auction, the work Three King Charles Spaniels changed hands for USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,650.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Three King Charles Spaniels is the most expensive artwork by Augustus Knip that we have observed at auction so far.
