The work In the dog pen by Augustus Knip was sold in the Clocks, Furniture and Works of Art from the Venema Collection auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2006. It achieved a price of EUR 3,600.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augustus Knip - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three King Charles Spaniels, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,650.89).

Die Arbeit In the dog pen von Augustus Knip wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion Clocks, Furniture and Works of Art from the Venema Collection bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.600,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Augustus Knip mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Three King Charles Spaniels beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 14.400,00 (€ 10.650,89) versteigert wurde.
