Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Hong Kong Bay by Auguste Borget was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,372.22). Admittedly, works by Auguste Borget have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elegante asiatische Gesellschaft unter Palmengruppe sitzend. 1841. in September this year with an auction result of CHF 12,500.00 (€ 12,919.26).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Hong Kong Bay von Auguste Borget kam im November 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.372,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Auguste Borget auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elegante asiatische Gesellschaft unter Palmengruppe sitzend. 1841. im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 12.500,00 (€ 12.919,26).
