Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Chamonix Mont-Blanc, Affiche Pour Au Vainqueurs Du Concours De La Viime Olympiade by Auguste Philippe Matisse for USD 1,195.00 (€ 948.64). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Auguste Philippe Matisse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chamonix Mont-Blanc, Viiime Olympiade, which sold at auction in January 2016 for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,601.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Chamonix Mont-Blanc, Affiche Pour Au Vainqueurs Du Concours De La Viime Olympiade von Auguste Philippe Matisse für USD 1.195,00 (€ 948,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Auguste Philippe Matisse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chamonix Mont-Blanc, Viiime Olympiade beobachtet, die im Januar 2016 für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.601,00) versteigert wurde.
