Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A landscape with cattle on a riverbank by Balthasar Paul Ommeganck was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2003. The price achieved of GBP 3,995.00 (€ 5,205.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Balthasar Paul Ommeganck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A rocky river landscape with herdsmen watering their cattle and sheep; and A rocky river landscape with travellers and a shepherd on a path, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,247.60).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.995,00 (€ 5.205,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
