Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,150.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Bartolomeo Passarotti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Lope Varona Di Villanahue Of Burgos, Half Length With A Book In His Right Hand in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 286,000.00 (€ 264,032.50).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady And A Gentleman, Half-Length von Bartolomeo Passarotti wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.150,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
