Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Madonna by Bedri Baykam was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,965.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Bedri Baykam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Split Of The Roads in April 2010 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,677.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Madonna von Bedri Baykam kam im April 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 11.965,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bedri Baykam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Split Of The Roads im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 56.677,12).
