Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Babatomi No: 1 by Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu was sold in the Contemporary Art Turkish auction at Sothebys in London in March 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,219.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Öpücük (The Kiss) in April 2011 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 102,763.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Babatomi No: 1 von Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Turkish bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 20.219,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Öpücük (The Kiss) im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 91.250,00 (€ 102.763,22).
