Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Art | New York, which included the work Etude d'enfant by Berthe Morisot. The price achieved of USD 10,080 (€ 8,906) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as USD 8,000 - 12,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Berthe Morisot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme et enfant au balcon in February 2017 with an auction result of GBP 4,085,000 (€ 4,780,966).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Etude d'enfant von Berthe Morisot wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Art | New York bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.080 (€ 8.906) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000 – 12.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Berthe Morisot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme et enfant au balcon im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.085.000 (€ 4.780.966).
