Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Nude, East Sussex Coast, May 1959 by Bill Brandt was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,357.04). Admittedly, works by Bill Brandt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Van Gogh'S Room In The Asylum Of St. Paul-De-Mausole (St. Rémy)' in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 170,220.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Nude, East Sussex Coast, May 1959 von Bill Brandt kam im April 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.357,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bill Brandt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Van Gogh'S Room In The Asylum Of St. Paul-De-Mausole (St. Rémy)' im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 170.220,97).
