Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in Sydney held the auction THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION, which included the work 5-Piece Poem by Brian Blanchflower. The price achieved of AUD 7,767.50 (€ 4,584.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Blanchflower - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Canopy Xxix - Palimpsest (Humankind), which sold at auction in March 2006 for AUD 28,680.00 (€ 16,928.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit 5-Piece Poem von Brian Blanchflower zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 7.767,50 (€ 4.584,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Brian Blanchflower mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Canopy Xxix - Palimpsest (Humankind) beobachtet, die im März 2006 für AUD 28.680,00 (€ 16.928,26) versteigert wurde.
