Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Mien by Brice Marden was sold in the The Collection of Thomas and Doris Ammann Evening Sale auction at Christies in New York in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000,000.00 – 12,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,405,000.00 (€ 7,832,448.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Brice Marden have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2021 the work 11 (to Léger) was auctioned for USD 16,999,000.00 (€ 15,060,689.29).
