Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Turkish, which included the work Glitch Xvii by Canan Tolon. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,750.00 (€ 25,610.81), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Canan Tolon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Glitch Iii (From The Glitch Series), which sold at auction in April 2012 for GBP 79,250.00 (€ 97,197.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Turkish durch, in der auch die Arbeit Glitch Xvii von Canan Tolon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 25.610,81) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Canan Tolon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Glitch Iii (From The Glitch Series) beobachtet, die im April 2012 für GBP 79.250,00 (€ 97.197,92) versteigert wurde.
