Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work German italian Landscape by Carl Blechen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,844.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Carl Blechen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dünenlandschaft mit von Eichen umstandenem Hünengrab in November last year with an auction result of EUR 127,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit German italian Landscape von Carl Blechen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.844,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Blechen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dünenlandschaft mit von Eichen umstandenem Hünengrab im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 127.000,00.
