This artwork by Carl Moll achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2009. In the Impressionist/Modern Day Sale (immediately following Impressionist/Modern Works on Paper) auction, the work Venedig sold for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 57,793.22) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Moll - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Austrian dahlien (Dahlias), which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 182,500.00 (€ 219,614.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Moll erzielte im Juni 2009 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist/Modern Day Sale (immediately following Impressionist/Modern Works on Paper) wurde die Arbeit Venedig für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 57.793,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Moll mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Austrian dahlien (Dahlias) beobachtet, die im November 2013 für GBP 182.500,00 (€ 219.614,32) versteigert wurde.
