A top price for Carlo Bugatti - as previously expected
The work FAUTEUIL, 1902 by Carlo Bugatti was sold in the Un oeil à part : Collections d'un esprit libre auction at Christies in Paris in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 72,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, FAUTEUIL, 1902 is the most expensive artwork by Carlo Bugatti that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit FAUTEUIL, 1902 von Carlo Bugatti wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Un oeil à part : Collections d'un esprit libre bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 72.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
