The work The Sacrifice of Noah by Carlo Maratti was sold in the Old Masters auction at Christies in New York in April 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 150,000.00 (€ 137,677.83), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Carlo Maratti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tobias and the Angel in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 1,216,000.00 (€ 1,306,403.09).

Die Arbeit The Sacrifice of Noah von Carlo Maratti wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Old Masters bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 137.677,83) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Maratti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tobias and the Angel im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.216.000,00 (€ 1.306.403,09).
