In February 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work At the base of the cliffs by Carlo Perindani. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,209.13), 41% above the upper estimate. With this result, At the base of the cliffs is even the most expensive work of art by Carlo Perindani that we have observed at auctions so far.
