Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Mexico Contemporary, which included the work From Spider Galaxy (Guardians) by Carlos Amorales. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,054.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carlos Amorales have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Horny Ghost in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,724.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Mexico Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit From Spider Galaxy (Guardians) von Carlos Amorales zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.054,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlos Amorales auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Horny Ghost im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.724,81).
