Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Negishi by Charles Bartlett was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in July 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,804.82). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Bartlett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Surf Riders, Honolulu, circa 1921 in September last year with an auction result of USD 31,875.00 (€ 32,582.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Negishi von Charles Bartlett wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.804,82) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Bartlett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Surf Riders, Honolulu, circa 1921 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.875,00 (€ 32.582,03).
