Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A warming broth by Charles Edouard Frère was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction at Christies in London in February 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 644.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Edouard Frère have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stringing Beans in March 2002 with an auction result of USD 4,700.00 (€ 5,391.76).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 644,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
