Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Unknown by Charles Giron was sold in the The Sunday Sale -The Principal Contents of a Suffolk Hall auction at Christies in London in April 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,420.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Giron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Swiss Les Deux Soeurs in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 264,500.00 (€ 336,455.56).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Charles Giron wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion The Sunday Sale -The Principal Contents of a Suffolk Hall bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.420,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Giron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Swiss Les Deux Soeurs im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 264.500,00 (€ 336.455,56).
