Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La Conversation by Charles James Theriat was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2010. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,250.00. Admittedly, works by Charles James Theriat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work American Playing The Derbakeh, Biskra in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,704.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La Conversation von Charles James Theriat kam im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles James Theriat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit American Playing The Derbakeh, Biskra im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.704,55).
