A top price for Charles James Theriat - as previously expected
In March 2009 Sothebys in Doha held the auction A Collection of Orientalist Art, which included the work American Playing The Derbakeh, Biskra by Charles James Theriat. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,704.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, American Playing The Derbakeh, Biskra is the most expensive artwork by Charles James Theriat that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März 2009 führte Sothebys in Doha die Auktion A Collection of Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit American Playing The Derbakeh, Biskra von Charles James Theriat zur Versteigerung kam.
