A top price for Charles Porion - as previously expected
In November 2001 Christies in London held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work Andalucian musicians by Charles Porion. The price achieved of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 18,697.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Andalucian musicians is the most expensive artwork by Charles Porion that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Andalucian musicians von Charles Porion zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.750,00 (€ 18.697,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Andalucian musicians das teuerste Kunstwerk von Charles Porion, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
