Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Juliet by Charles Robert Leslie for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,293.13). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Robert Leslie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sancho Panza in the Apartment of the Duchess, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 14,340.00 (€ 20,935.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Juliet von Charles Robert Leslie für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.293,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Robert Leslie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sancho Panza in the Apartment of the Duchess beobachtet, die im Februar 2003 für GBP 14.340,00 (€ 20.935,95) versteigert wurde.
