Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2017 Artcurial held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Vue Du Village De Luri, Cap Corse by Charles Willem Meredith van de Velde. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Willem Meredith van de Velde - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vue De La Tour De La Marine À Pino Au Couchant, which sold at auction in February 2017 for EUR 9,100.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2017 führte Artcurial die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue Du Village De Luri, Cap Corse von Charles Willem Meredith van de Velde zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Willem Meredith van de Velde mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vue De La Tour De La Marine À Pino Au Couchant beobachtet, die im Februar 2017 für EUR 9.100,00 versteigert wurde.
