Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Attap Houses by Chen Wen Hsi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 900,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 107,922.19). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wen Hsi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pasar (Market) in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,256,407.24).
