Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Industrial Scene 1; Industrial Scene 2; & Industrial Scene 3 by Cheong Soo Pieng was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in October last year. The price achieved of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 19,375.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 220,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cheong Soo Pieng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature's Inspiration in November this year with an auction result of HKD 11,507,000.00 (€ 1,350,289.70).

Die Arbeit Industrial Scene 1; Industrial Scene 2; & Industrial Scene 3 von Cheong Soo Pieng kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 19.375,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cheong Soo Pieng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature's Inspiration im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.507.000,00 (€ 1.350.289,70).
