Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of Simon Tedeschi by Cherry Hood for AUD 956.00 (€ 605.96). This price was achieved in the auction THE JOHN WILLIAMS COLLECTION at Christies in Sydney and was even below the estimate range of AUD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cherry Hood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Young Man in November 2008 with an auction result of AUD 15,000.00 (€ 7,735.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of Simon Tedeschi von Cherry Hood für AUD 956,00 (€ 605,96) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion THE JOHN WILLIAMS COLLECTION bei Christies in Sydney erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cherry Hood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Young Man im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 15.000,00 (€ 7.735,15).
