Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Chittrovanu Mazumdar was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,000.00 (€ 30,241.23). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chittrovanu Mazumdar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,771.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chittrovanu Mazumdar wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 43.000,00 (€ 30.241,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Chittrovanu Mazumdar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.771,69) versteigert wurde.
