Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chu Teh-Chun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in February last year. In the Modern Art Online auction, the work Splendid sold for HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,332.69) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chu Teh-Chun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Harmonie Hivernale in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 229,568,000.00 (€ 24,578,851.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chu Teh-Chun erzielte im Februar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art Online wurde die Arbeit Splendid für HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.332,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chu Teh-Chun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Harmonie Hivernale im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 229.568.000,00 (€ 24.578.851,54).
