Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work LOTUS FLOWER by Chua Ek Kay was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 8,377.65). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chua Ek Kay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Archipelago 1, 2, & 3 in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 106,868.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit LOTUS FLOWER von Chua Ek Kay kam im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 8.377,65) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chua Ek Kay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Archipelago 1, 2, & 3 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 106.868,96).
