Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Untitled 12-3-12 by Chung Sang-Hwa was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 26,916.29) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 250,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chung Sang-Hwa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled 97-3-26 in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 6,440,000.00 (€ 757,854.41).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Untitled 12-3-12 von Chung Sang-Hwa wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 26.916,29) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chung Sang-Hwa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled 97-3-26 im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.440.000,00 (€ 757.854,41).
