Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Cícero Dias was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 49,235.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cícero Dias have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Difícil Partida in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 262,000.00 (€ 248,059.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Cícero Dias kam im November 2008 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 49.235,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cícero Dias auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Difícil Partida im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 262.000,00 (€ 248.059,08).
